This full-day tour explores the Neolithic period (3500-2000 BC), in many ways a golden age in Orkney. We explore the UNESCO World Heritage area, the Heart of Neolithic Orkney, with its many well-preserved monuments and settlements from this period.

Unstan chambered cairn

Standing Stones of Stenness

Either Ness of Brodgar (only open while archaeological excavation is on), or Barnhouse Neolithic village (always accessible)

Ring of Brodgar stone circle

Skara Brae Neolithic village
