Yule Feast

Celebrate midwinter in style with a Viking Yule Feast!

Monday 30th December 18:00-21:00

We are transforming the atmospheric Quoyloo Old School into a Norse hall (that’s right, we are not on the beach this time).

There will be a Viking meal served on wooden plates and drinking horns, as we celebrate Jol (Yule) like the Vikings did.

The evening’s entertainment will be storytelling and music, with stories from Norse mythology and legends which were passed on here in Orkney in unbroken tradition from our Norse ancestors until they were written down in the 19th century.

Musicians Kate Fletcher and Corwen Broch, who specialise in ancient music traditions, are also joining us to play.

Terms and conditions:

We reserve the right to cancel this event with 3 days notice if 10 tickets or less are sold by 27/12. Sold tickets will then be refunded in full.

If you have purchased a ticket but do not attend the event, we unfortunately cannot refund your ticket.

To find Quoyloo Old School, take the road to Orkney Brewery then uphill and to the left, where you will find an old stone building.

There is parking space outside.

Since this is an unlicenced venue and most people will be driving, you will be served mulled non alcoholic punch as “mead”.
